Hi Barb :)
Really teh Navy's birthday - thanks will mark that for knowledge. Wonder if the navy had birthday cake for all the sailors?

Isn't it nice for the 33 Miners and 6 Rescuers to be safe now? Wishing the same for the 2 hikers in the Iranian jail and the captured American soldier to be freed.
Havea good day

I give up on timing things. I am finding it easy to flow along.

And I can't wait for th em to be out and in their own place. Tath new littel kitten is driving me crazy.. Teh kitten is sweet , but a non stop ball of energy. And to top it off - I am allergic to fur! So far no major itching or runny nose, but I never have been around cats / kittens and this is all new to me. And my pet turtle is so frustrated with that kitten. So I know Shark will be happy when it is not here.

Mom enjoyed her sister here - they shopped till dropped - ate out - and talked and talked. Then my son called from his base in Japan adn talked for over 4 hours, so all had a good talk.

Son has a cold, I think he called home for some tender loving care over the phone. Just wish I could have given him some oatmeal raisin cookies and hot apple cider.
He stated he was going to be able to sign up for some college classes - Maryland. This will make his Aunt JoJo so happy - he graduated from there too. I stated I would be emailing his Aunt JoJo about this. That I know she wanted to get him some Maryland University items if he was able to sign up - so he agreed she could get him a hooded sweatshirt for his birthday. ( that is in two weeks )
So now I am getting a package ready with simple Halloween items and his birthday.

My son also shared he was able to complete a package for a rate change. Fingers crossed for this - he really wants it. And that he gets promoted to too. Should know all in December.
Well weather here is in the 80's - strange. But oh how beautiful are the leaves.! how is it for the rest of IL?

Need to get along havea good evening Hugs.

T-Lynn---glad you had family in to celebrate.

Must be something about the week of Oct. 23rd. Our sailor and DIL are hoping to move to a new apartment soon, too. However, that would leave DIL up in Norfolk by herself till his ship drydocks, which doesn't make sense. In parent's opinion, they should wait till closer to his dry dock date.

HI
Situation here is still a bit hairy. Just have to to find a way to communicate better with mother. At least this weekend my aunt and uncle ( Mom's baby sister) were here to early celebrate mom's 90th birthday ( birthday is Halloween) Uncle really doesn't like to come North - they are from TN and he complains that is it is always cold here. Well this weekend - we broke the HEAT records - so Uncle very happy.

Son and FDiL are moving into new apartment October 23rd. I again will not get to participate in things. And thanks Sue - about MAS - you think I would know !

Any way I hope everyone's day of 10 - 10 - 10 was awesome.
Sweet Dreams
