Came home, and hubby told me to shower, change and get ready to go out for dinner tonight.  Easier going out on Thursday than Friday for my birthday.  Cheddar's, here we come!

She called me the next night and just bubbled over.  I see on facebook that her Mom is researching venues :)

He proposed today!  Now we're waiting to hear whether he will stay in King's Bay, or if he can get a transfer back up to VA.

Congrats to all those who advanced.    Barb, congrats on your son's wedding, it was just a year ago on the 24th that Chaz got married.  It just seems like our sons are so similar.   lol

For you mom's who will soon be sending your kids off to boot camp, I want to tell you that is was so hard for me to watch my twins both leave over the summer. One left 7/31 and the other 8/15, I had a difficult few weeks and it is hard when you can't talk to them, but take comfort in the fact that your pride for what they are doing is going to overpower all those other feeling when you see them graduate BC. Both of my boys are now in Pensacola for their schooling and I can talk to them pretty regularly now, but I am so proud of both of them and I can't wait to see where this takes them. Good Luck and know you have a lot of support from your family and your Navy family.

Hello llanders.  Welcome to the site :)  I live in Joliet.  I sure do hope you made it through that storm safe and sound.  There is also a facebook page for local moms that is pretty new.  Just had our first get together back in October and hopefully there will be another one after the holidays.  Glad your here.

Are there any IL Mom's that have an SR that left for BC in November?
