Going to send out a message. I'm already booked for a couple of fundraisers, so Sept 10th or 17th would work for lunch for me. I'll send out a "feeler" to see what others think. Carol
Depending on when in September I might be able to get down there and see new and familiar faces. My corpsman comes back to Illinois in 26 more days and will be home for a bit before going back to Pendleton. Just let me know and I will try to make it.
So do we want Olive Garden again?
Welcome to the new IL moms and Hello to everyone else. (Notice I did not say "old moms!) My son and I survived his first deployment. He came back to the states on the Fourth of July which I thought was neat.
OklahomaMama--I live near Fairview Heights, so we are not far apart. I am thinking that the Southern IL bunch is overdue for a lunch date. What do you all think? September perhaps???
AJ's-Mom, My sailor is an EM Nuke and he is on a sub! If you get a chance, be sure to visit Charleston/Goose Creek. Really nice!
Oh, Pat L, we could do quite a good state meeting, couldn't we? We have the people who like to pay it forward, with packing parties and sewing pillowcases. We love to go out and eat. You help with the Thanksgiving meal up by Chicago for our boot camp newbies. hmmm.......
Thanks for the welcome! My son's A school is in Charleston, SC. He's going to nuke school so he'll be there for a while. Thankfully he likes it there! He's considering subs but hasn't committed yet.
I would love to go to a statewide meet and greet!
