OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

thanks Becky!. I booked her a ticket on airtran for $460. I did call Delta, but must not have had anything since she's flying out christmas eve.

How do I get a military discount for my daughter to come home on leave? I called all the airlines that fly out of Pensacola into Indianapolis and none offered anything more than free checked bags.

Navy08mom, Sorry to hear about your mother. That's not an easy place to be, watching your mother being sick and running back and forth to the hospital. Hope she feels better soon.

Glad your son is going home soon!! Wasn't he in Africa? Did he like that compared to the other spots he had been in?
