Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In our call I asked him if he ordered the DVD. He said no it was a rip off. I said tuff we will damn well order it when I get there. Kids!! What does he think he is a SAILOR or something???? LOL Thanks for your best wishes. Hugs will be a top priority....I hope to get together with my fella Indiana Moms sometime soon. We are about 30 miles east of Valparaiso. Am I near anyone for lunch next month??

Ok, I have our "B & B" booked in Carmel for the weekend of Aug. 20th. It will be good to see my sis-in-law. Can't wait to see how many of you can come to the Molly's Adopt a Sailor packing party that Kaye has listed on one of the links above! It takes me 4 hours to drive over, but will be there with the proverbial "rings on my fingers and bells on my toes."

The dinner is limited to 30, so please respond soon.
It'd be wonderful to have several moms attend the lunch for the Habitat for Humanity crew. But, if you can't be there in person, we still need food sent (we're serving 15 sailors).
I still don't know if free tickets will be available for the Indians baseball game on Tuesday night, but will post as soon as I do. Of course, you can message me or post any questions you have. Thanks! k.

There are no activities at the Fair Grounds which need our "help." The Navy is having a large display and simulators there, but no "events" that require extra hands. I'm sure they'd love us to go by and give hugs, though!

Just received word that we are indeed hosting a Vice Admiral at our dinner, Monday, Augusts 15. Space is limited to 30 Navy Moms/Dads/etc., to allow space for our guests.
