OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Ladies...remember the key is the safety of our sailors, read the OPSEC discussion here on N4M, then if still in question or in doubt, error on the side of safety.

I'd rather my son be safe than me be sorry that I said too much!

Wow! This website is amazing. Im still trying to figure it all out. So glad to learn about the Indiana group. My son is deployed right now on an aircraft carrier (Not sure if I should say which one?) and will be out the rest of the year. This is a first deployment so we are nervous and excited for him. He loves it so that makes it easier for us.
