Brandos Mom--My heart goes out to you on all your children.

I hope to be in Indianapolis the weekend around Aug. 15th.  Navy Weeks will be at the State Fair.

Brandon Hall is a Sophomore, Devon Hall is a Freshman, and Tyler Haase would have been a Junior this year. They are all on facebook.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.. @Becky Brandon and my youngest son both go to ISU as did my son Tyler.  My oldest is in Evansville at USI.  Things have really changed I guess as far as boot because when I went I was there for 13 weeks.  I would love to tell him how it is going to be but it is so different now.  Thank goodness for those videos we found that show a company going through at Great Lakes.  Well looks like a wonderfully wet weekend so here's to everyone staying dry and warm.  Hopefully the sun will come back.

Welcome Cathi.......tough spot  you're in but as you said, you have to let them spread their wings. They will do what they want to do and we can't tell them any different, just support them. Welcome Aboard!

Not looking forward to the storms tonight, I'll be out driving in them, hopefully, we don't get the large hail and damaging winds they are calling for.......that'll make my driving tough!

Hi all!  My name is Cathi and my son Brandon was just sworn into the Navy this morning.  I am so excited for him as I personally know what he has to look forward to since I was a Corpsman during Desert Storm and my dad was an Electricians Mate when I was younger.  He is scheduled to leave in Sept for boot but hopefully they can find a spot for him sooner as he is really geared to go.  He is a Gunners Mate and is really excited.  His dad on the other hand is not so happy and really has given us a hard time about it so we are working through that.  Part of the issue is that we lost a son last year and while I as much as he would rather just take the kids and lock them all up, I feel we need to let them spread their wings.  Well, I look forward to being a member and getting to know all of you.  Hope everyone is ready for the storms coming and is safe this evening.  <3

Not sure Indyrules.....all I know is my son texted me a week ago last Friday asking where his BC was....I asked him why and he said he needed a passport. I then asked when did you find out about this....and he said, just now. He was originally told he wouldn't need one......so I'm not really sure....just hope he gets it before he is deployed, just in case, I'm not sure how long they take.

Doesn't make a difference....but probably prefer July because my daughter is getting married in August and the 6th is only 2 weeks before her wedding. Will probably still have lots to do to get ready for it. Just let us know what you find out! Never been to Jimmerson...is that where you live?
