Hey all, I'm having a Hoosier blast that is ending way too early for my tastes, but have run out of money and excuses to stay here now that we have finished our 29th anniversary trip!

First 'deployment' for mine as well, although he has been in the Navy a little over four years.

Hi Pat .. we will have to have our sons hook up in Guam - it might be nice to have someone who is familiar with "home".  This will be my sons first deployment so I imagine he will be "homesick".

Hello fellow Indiana moms.  So excited my son is coming home today, for a week.  He is currently in Groton, Ct. was concerned with the winter storm on the east coast if he would make it today.  Talked to him about an hour ago, he is at the airport and his flight is still scheduled to leave on time. So should arrive in Indy this evening. .  So Thankful for this short time we will have with him.   So glad some of you were able to have your sailors home.  And to those of you who couldn't.  Praying that they will be home soon.

My son has been home for the past week and it was so nice to have him at home for Christmas since it will probably be the last one for the next few years.  He received his orders and will be leaving in mid-January for Guam.  Any one else who has had a son/daughter/spouse stationed there?

Tyler--we're waiting to hear if our nephew will be in Lafayette or Indianapolis after Christmas.

I posted this in another group, but thought that some of you who have already experienced BC might have an answer for me.  When they DO finally get to call home, is it on a certain, or a certain time of the day?  I've been keeping my phones very close by, because I do not want to miss a call!  Thanks!

Due to the weather conditions I won't be able to attend the dinner tomorrow night.  I live in a rural area north of Indy, and I'll do good to make it to work tomorrow morning!  I'll try to make another one when the weather is better.
