OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Hi. How are my Hoosier families? Kaye suggested I get on here and talk a little about St. Louis Navy Week. It begins This Thursday with the Freedom Band. Friday, it's recruit swearing in on the Cardinals baseball field, Freedom Band, and Top Gun on the big screen at Union Station. There's a lot more throughout the week--and all this is free. The following week the Blue Angels are scheduled to appear. So much to do---wish I were laid off this week instead of during the summer!
We're also looking for those who like to cook. We'll be serving up some Navy mom love and cooking.
Contact me with questions :)

Oh, Donnita, so sorry to hear about the trials in your life. But, I'm so glad things are improving for you.

And as far as that sailor of yours is concerned, I think we need to begin negotiations for an arranged marriage between him and my daughter! He's just the sort of guy I'd love to have her bring home! Hope we see you at Sept's Westies dinner... Many hugs! k.

Thanks for all the welcomes! Got the "box" via fed ex today. I was relieved to see the receipt from where he had lunch at the Indy Airport as he was leaving. You can tell we are from Indiana - the boy had to have one last Shapiro's corned beef before he left! So glad he was able to eat before boarding the plane.

It's official - my Indiana boy is off on his adventure. Left for GL yesterday. Boot camp begins...
