Hi ladies! My name is Jennielee. I'm new to this site and am looking forward to getting know more Indiana Navy/Marine moms. My son Jorden has been in the Navy since December 15,2009. That was a hard Christmas. Jorden went to Pensacola for A-school. We got to spend Spring Break with him, that was nice. He went to Virginia in June and two weeks later was shipped out to the USS Harry S Truman. He's been on the ship since July 1. It's hard to think of him being so far away from home, but phone calls from him now and then help close the gap. I am so proud of him for wanting to do this for his country. I also pray everyday for him and all our country's military. Now I can pray for the safe keeping of all your sailors and marines as well.

We actually have read those books...Anthony doesn't leave out till October so won't graduate till end of Dec beginning of January so that is when we will be heading out to Cali...Codie's parents will be going to his and they will be leaving towards the end of August they wanted us to ride with them but sis will just have started school so it is unlikely we will be able to go...

BarbJ... don't tell my son, but when he's home, I go into his bedroom and kiss him on his forehead just like I did when he was small. Although, that is probably over with now... the next time he comes home, he'll bring a wife with him! Enjoy watching your Sailor do whatever she's doing! Hugs, k.

Hi Everyone, I am new to Navy Moms, my son is a Corpsman deployed to Afghanistan. Hopefully will be home sometime in Oct/Nov of this year. He is stationed at 29 Palms, Calif. Just wondering if any of you are in the same situation as me. Want to connect.
