OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hey All,
I'm a New Navy Mom, my recruit will be leaving for BC in May. Going in as a Navy Nuke, ET. We are from the Northern Indiana Region, but he currently lives in Chicago.
We are excited and proud as he is creating a tradition. My dad was Navy, my husband was Navy, and now my son. I am glad to be able to be in touch with other parents, etc, who are experiencing the same thing.

Thanks.
Lisa

Donnita, here's hoping the next few days go easy for you... it's so hard watching them leave after they've been "back in place" for a while. Come eat with us Monday night; maybe we'll help a little :-) Hugs! k.

Mark, just hush up about your Florida trip... some of us are too busy shivering to listen to your travel plans! k.

About an 1.5" down here! Sholved the driveway and the end of the driveway where the plow left 4-5", ice underneath, but most of the roads have dried off. The puddles will freeze back over tonight. Watch out for black ice if you have to go out!!
