Darsete, I also won't be able to make it tomorrow.  I am also involved with Greyhound rescue and our group is bringing in 11 dogs from Alabama tomorrow and need to help get them cleaned up and in foster homes.  I will certainly try to get together again though!  Thanks!

Thanks Darsete -- forgot about Jon's Flags

I won't be able to make the luncheon Saturday.  Have an all day church conference I'll be attending.

YES I know Valerie!  Small world.  She is such a sweet lady!!!!  We were there for her son's friend "welcome home" greeting at midnight @ Ontario airport.  You should definitely try and make it out to our next business meeting.  I saw Debbie this evening.  She can tell you in about the group if Valerie hasn't already.  I've been with the chapter since May 2012.

You can also find the Blue Star Flag at serviceflags.com, Amazon, united-states-flag.com, cvsflags.com

@2tymeNavyMom - Yes your flag would have 2 blue stars.  Where abouts do you live?

I need to find one too! Should mine have two blue stars?

This might be a dumb question but where do you get a Blue Star Flag?

Comment by 2tymeNavyMom on July 10, 2013 at 12:39pm

cbc mom,

Thank you.  I am going to research more.  I am really close to that area, (next door) so it will be conveint as well.  My daughter was honorably discharged June 28th, 2013 and my son is in bootcamp right now.

Comment by cbc mom on July 10, 2013 at 11:26am
BTW -- every mother that has an active duty son/daugther or son/daughter that is honorably discharged is automatically concidered a Blue Star Mother. I have my Blue Star Flag hanging in my front window honoring my son who is deployed in Japan.

There are local chapters that you can join which helps the community in a lot of various ways.
