Hi everyone I am from the Quad Cities and my daughter will be leaving for boot camp September 3. So proud of her but nervous and of course going to miss her since this is my only daughter.

Hi everyone,

just wanted to let you all know that my daughter has just left for her second deployment to who knows where.  Please keep her and all Seabee's, and all who are out there doing the job to keep us safe here in the United States.  Hope all is well with all of you and good night.

Please be thinking of my Seabee daughter's group in the desert.  They just got a few months extension and sent to a very scary base.  I'm extremely concerned and nervous about this new location.  Not only are they in a dangerous place they will not have computer/phone for the next few months.  Seeing FB action and hearing from her often at the other 2 bases she's been at already in this deployment made a difference.  This is also hard in that she had been skyping with her son almost daily (he just turned 1 a couple of weeks ago).

Hello! I live in New Hartford, IA - right by Cedar Falls/Waterloo. My son just left for basic last week & I am slowly finding my way around this site & stumbled on this Iowa group - yay!!! My husband and I are gearing up for RAGBRAI (& you guys will know what that means), & I am hoping that the box & the for, letter arrive before we leave so I can mail letters and all that good stuff! Anyway, I am looking forward to getting to know the Iowa Moms and learning more about the Navy experience!

Hi Everyone, haven't been on for along time, been dealing with alot of health issues and family problems.  Anyway I just wanted to let everyone know that my Seabee daughter married the man of her dreams, another Seabee in April of 2013.  They have an off base apartment, just adopted a puppy, and they both made Petty Officer.  I am so Proud of them both!  Hope all your loved ones are doing great, so until next time have a great Sunday!

Hi, Everybody, sorry I haven't been on for along time but my sister has been very ill, and my brother just passed away last Thursday of stage 4 cancer.  Anyway I have a question, my daughter thinks she needs to see a specialist for a medical problem that the Navy knew about before she enlisted.  The situation may have changed but she can't get anyone to listen to her, is there a proper channel that she should be trying go through.  Any suggestions would maybe help ease my mind and her's.  Hope all is well with all your families!

Congratulations to all whose sailor advanced today. You have the right to be proud.  To you moms whose sailors didn't make it, my thoughts, prayers, and hugs go out to you.  You have a right to be proud, too, but it's hard to know your kid is hurting today.

Just wanted to make sure that you know about the Molly's Adopt a Sailor packing party next sunday in Davenport.  I'd love it if you'd come!  Bring some priority boxes with you if you can.  I don't want to run out!
