Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi. No one seems to want to be on this page. I live about 35 minutes from the base. It is a good time to visit, even during out cooler months. Look up both Yulee, where a Live, and Fernandina Beach, where we go to church and bum around. Carol

My APACT Sailor is heading to Mayport! I'm nervous and excited, all in the same breath. Can't wait to visit him. Maybe this winter. It would be a nice break from our Wisconsin winter.

My son is now stationed at JAX as a corpsman at the base clinic.  We have visited twice and he loves it there.

My son is now deployed and it is hard to not miss him!  His firs deployment.

I'm from Fernandina Beach and my son leaves in a week...he was sworn in in October when he was 17,but I'm still not ready after all of this time!! We just cleaned out his room and boxed up was sad,but his 16 year old brother is happy to get a room to himself and to get his bigger I also have a 5 year old son,that doesn't understand his brother is leaving he says all the time not to's going to be a big adjustment for everybody! : (  They start school this thursday and then he leaves on Tuesday,so this has been a very stressful week!!
