OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A little about me:
I just moved to Jacksonville, Florida from Tallahassee and I am a Florida Native, born in Palm Beach County. My only child (daughter) is leaving for US Navy in 28 days. I am very happy, proud, nervous and in need of support!!! I encouraged my daughter to join The Navy, as I am very pro-military. I have a deep respect for the people who serve Our Great Country and The US Navy. My daughter will be the second person in my family to serve in The Navy. She is following the path of my late Grandfather. I come from a strong military background. My father served in the Army and retired from United Technologies. I would be honored to befriend Navy For Moms as I will need friends/Moms like me who can offer support, advise and encouragement. I wish to offer my support and encouragement to Navy For Moms as well. Looking forward to your acceptance into the community!!!
I am here to support my

When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
The most important thing I learned about the Navy is that they are a family who supports their own. The Navy is very strong and it is an honor that they accepted my daughter to join them. I also learned that anything is possible.
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

My son graduated in September, I remember the most exciting time was during the pass in review (PIR) ceremony, when the "garage door" opens up.  The crowd goes WILD!

If you have any questions, I'd love to help.  I'm a Navy veteran myself.

Please like my group on facebook LINK, I'm just starting out and would love the support.

I also support “calls for recruits” from products sold on ETSY if you order soon I ship next day!

If you are traveling, wishing you a safe journey.

If you can't travel; be sure to watch the video link, it's the next best thing.

Yes, I tried to leave you a message on the main wall but maybe you didn't see it?  I also tried to send you a email but I'm not sure I am doing this right.  I am not very good with computers.  My daughter's lastname starts with a B and ends with a E so I wasn't sure in your original post if it may be her?  What is your daughter's first name?  If they are bff's then we need to become friends as well.  Will you be going to graduation?  What state are you from?

Since you have an SR at the RTC, you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted." I see you have joined your PIR group; I also invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) there. Take care and blessings to you and yours.
