I cant see the links! :( I know of a few places that are within a mile of the base that have good reviews and are fare priced. But if there is anyone who has found a hotel for less than 53.99 a night and still close to the base.. or have shuttles to the base.. let me know!!

Sophia I have a daughter from a previous marriage as well. I have set up my travel plans I did it the second week when I got the "form letter". I never knew how much mail would mean to me either. It sucks not being able to talk to him everyday but I know this will only make our marriage that much stronger. I still break down almost everynight when I write him and yes I write him nightly. My husband writes me everyday too which helps I even know what day his letters are going to come and I am on stalker patrol. I think the mailman is almost tempted to just throw my mail and run on Thursdays when the letters get here lol. My daughter just doesn't understand why he isn't home and wants to talk to him daily. I am hoping we get calls this week but I am betting we won't. Do you know where he is going after pir?

Its so comforting to know that there are other people out there that understand exactly what I'm dealing with. Tommy is ship 07 division 107. He says he likes it, and the guys are all pretty cool. He says he's in the group of talkers. Which definitely fits him .lol. He does miss home and he writes to me almost everyday. Had no idea today was Presidents Day which upset me! Never knew mail would be so important. He says the same thing. I cant even imagine what your going through hlwolter. We talk so much about our wedding and future plans, and I have 2 kids from a previous relationship, so they dont really understand whats going on either. Which in the long run makes things a little bit harder. Has anyone set up their travel arrangements for graduation? Still undecided about hotels and how to get to and from the hotel. UGH! I just cant wait to see him. Does everyone miss their guys this much? I cant stop thinking about him and how much I am dying to see him!!!

Sophia, I feel your pain! My husband left Jan. 5th and we had only been married at that point 1 month. 22 days after he left I found out I was pregnant. The no contact really is a struggle and i deal with it everyday. Just know he is missing you more then you are missing him. I know that doesn't seem possible but, it;s almost over. Well this part of the journey anyways.

Hi Sophia,
You'll find that most of us "get' it. My on left 1/11 and his PIR is also March 5th. What ship and div is your fiance in? Hang in there. It is difficult with the lag time in the mail and the lack of phone contact. Only 17 days left until they graduate. you sould also join the group for PIR 3/5!! :)

Hi everyone, this is only the third time I have been on this website. My fiance joined the navy 1/6/10. His PIR is March 5. I came here for answers to questions that apparently no one understands or wants to hear about it. Its been really hard for everyone, but I really feel like I am alone. Tommy asked me to marry him shortly before he left. So we should be enjoying our engagement, but yet I'm under stress and pressure just to get out to the graduation. His stress from boot stresses me out because I cant share with anyone his achievements or his struggles. I hope that this site will be helpful for me.

well.. she told me that she'd let me know how she was doing by the end of last week and I haven't heard from her yet... she's passed and excelled in everything else... I have been praying hard for her legs and lungs!

Hi JD's mom... hang in there..
My son is not a great runner either and he failed the first PFA. KNOCK on wood I have not gotten any calls... but the RDCs will work with her to get her to pass before the end of training. It is never their preference from what I've been told to keep someone back. She'll get there! :)
