They keep them Very busy learning how to survive in a different country. He's well taking care of BUT us Moms worry!  It's okay to cry and miss them.

Mississippi Mom - I can't take credit for starting this page - that happened way before me lol!

But I'll take credit for keeping the N4M site going when back in 2016 they were going to shut down the site because they didn't have anyone willing to admin it.  I worked with the advertising agency to keep it going and alas we are still here.  Not near as active as we used to be but we're making it work!  ;-D

Hi Pan moms!  Do any of you know if the flight to Japan (out of Chicago) can be changed to our home airport (DFW-American airlines headquarters). I saw a reply to something like this but it was a few years old and thought I’d see if anyone recently had theirs changed. Is it SATO he would contact?  Sponsor?  Thank you all!

Hi!
I’m enjoying reading all your posts!

About us… We are a Navy family and have been since before it was officially the Navy. We are honored that our son chose the Navy for his career.
I am a mom of 3. My oldest (daughter) is about to get married in October. We are very excited!! My middle child is a single mom of the most precious almost 3 year old ever! My son is our youngest and only son.
My son recently left for Japan and I am waiting to hear from him.
He recently graduated from the Nuke pipeline in Charleston. His rate is MMN.
We live in a coastal town in South Texas! We moved here after my son went to Boot Camp a couple of years ago.

Looking forward to getting to know each of y’all!

Have an amazing day!

So good to hear from several of the missing Navy Pan Moms.

Maggs, thanks for the update on Angel, and I am so sorry she has been through so much.  I sure hope she is better and back to herself soon.     I also miss your pictures.   Thinking of you, and I know you miss your husband.  I too, agree with you and Blondie.   Would love to see cancer completely gone.

T-Lynn, I swear you are trying to be Blondie with all of that stuff going on!   Girl I read that and I had to go back and make sure I wasn't reading a Blondie post! LOL!  I am sure you will get all done and it will be beautiful like all of your work is.

B'NukeMoM, so good to hear from you.   I am so thankful you started this page, even if you didn't think you were a Pan Mom.  It helped me so much when my son was in Japan, and got me through some tough days.  And I am sure it has helped many more.  I will be forever grateful to you.

Not much gossip for you T-Lynn, just hot, hot, hot, here and very dry.   I am watering every morning about an hour and half before I get ready for work.   Hubby is back to normal with his knees.   He is doing a kitchen for a couple that lives about 45 minutes from us.  He has built a beautiful set of cabinets and had pictures of what he has installed.  He may be mine but I still have to brag on him.  He has done an outstanding job, and he said the couple are very happy with them.

Our son is dealing with a shoulder injury.   Between him and the VA, I just shake my head.  He is stubborn, and they are slow.  It looks like he is going to have to have surgery, but he don't want that.  Well, suck it up buttercup!

Our daughter is flying home next week for a long weekend visit.   I think she is very homesick, and I am so ready to see her.  Her Dad is very ready for her to come home.   We are probably going to celebrate his birthday while she is home.  She and I were talking about it last night, plus it will give extended family a chance to see her.

That's about all I've got.   Just really busy at work, and I want to take Friday off while she is home, so I am trying my best to get as much as I can done.

I hope all of you are well and staying cool!

I started on this site back in 2012 and although I was never a Pan Mom I always checked in on this page 'cuz you all were so active and had so much going on lol!  I do remember Angie - she posted often back then and I remember she had another baby after her son was in the Navy.  It was fun seeing all the updates from everyone. And T-Lynn I always love hearing about Shark!  And Blondie I remember your are known as the "energizer bunny".

I remember thinking maybe my son would end up in Japan - he actually had that on his "wish list" over VA but as luck would have it he ended up in VA lol!  He's out now and he and his wife (she was also a nuke) live in Michigan.  I guess I'm thankful he did end up in VA because he wouldn't have met her if he was in Japan, so everything happens for a reason!

I stick around here as one of the main admins just because ...and, well no one else wanted to do it lol!

The unfortunate thing is when someone leaves the site and chooses to delete their profile ALL of their comments are deleted too.  So there is nothing on here anymore from Angie (and many others).  Kind of sad because the conversations often have helpful info for new moms.....

So remember, if you choose to leave the N4M site, consider NOT deleting your profile - your posts could help another mom.

And keep on posting!  I'm sure there a lot of moms that look at this site and maybe don't post but I'm sure they appreciate the conversations.

You ladies are the best!

Hi

Welcome Aboard New Pan Moms !!!!

Why we are called Navy Pan Moms and not Japan Navy Moms.  We had a fellow mom who's little nephew who could not say Japan. But he could say Pan - so we all though how quite and i believe it was Angs or blondie who started calling us "Navy Pan Moms".  Its stuck.

We share many "air" hugs, stories of our sailors and families, even have days to giving a "Holiday Toast " to each other.  We can't be really together but we select a day - time and a hold a glass high and say a toast of love and support for each other.

And another thing - I LOVE gossip. And after reading the past messages i can say my gossip tank is getting full . NEED more ladies.

Doing fine here.  But goals on a "To Do List" well I through out the list. Granddaughter has not been able to stay at day care all the time and me needing to babysit her just stopped my list.  Fingers crossed the next weeks - the day care stays open, or that her allergies do not flare up! she has had some wicked ear infections and sinus issues.  I believe when she turns 4 - in April of 2023 - those tonsils and adenoids will come out. Hoping for NO ear tubes. so I redid my "To Do List".

Now I am finishing three dance shawls - possible 5 medicine bags and some needed beaded scout patches to honor fellow scouters. AND maybe PAINT that kitchen!

Today marks 8 years in this home - its our very first home we have owned. And still that Kitchen has not been painted - and its the last room too. But having Emma as a helper - no way.

Shark is doing ok. Oh to the new moms that is the pet turtle She will be 45 years old on August 11th.  She is planning to write a letter and send out again to sailor.  He hasn't sent her a post card and she is not happy.

So good to see Kim, Miss, Blondie and Maggs on here. I know Drama is out there  - she must be practicing lines for plan again. So to all the ladies who have NOT chatted: ROLL CALL - check in  - need updated gossip.

Mu sailor is doing fine - as of now - he is checking on paper work to make sure all is in line for his third  tour in Japan. He is fine - trying to decide if takes the Harley over or not. Gee - such a hard decision to make.

Well chores are calling. I have to finish before I pick up the grand kids from Day Car and Day Camp.

Welcome aboard again new moms. And hugs to me fellow Pan Moms.  have a good day

Oh to the new moms - I misspell alot or put words backwards at time. No worries - you will learn to decode me.
