That is a beautiful verse, Carol.

Ah well, I was working up to a good afternoon cry anyway...

Carol. so sorry to hear of your loss. It isn't easy around the holidays. I lost my brother, my favorite brother, we were close, last year just after Thanksgiving. I get weepy at odd times when I remember I don't have to get him a gift this year. Losing a child must be so much more difficult, I can't imagine... hugs to you, to all your family.

I loved Julian too! But even though I am Californian born, and a Californian at heart, I just can't live in the state for more than a few years before I get edgy and weird.

Southern Utah is warm and beautiful, and the Utah economy hasn't been hot as hard as other parts of the country. LOL, you don't even need a passport. Of course, I live on Norhern Utah, which is cold and beautiful right now.

Hubby is alright, he is pretty tough... but whenever he isn't here when the weather is bad, I can't help but fuss.

Anita, take time to heal your heart, but don't forget us or we will worry!

Right now warm weather of any kind sounds terrific. Single digit temps last night, hubby out on the road, sleeping in the semi. I worry. I worry about everyone! (Anyone want to go to Hawaii?)

The one thing I learned in the Navy was how to secure outdoor items for high winds; that's thanks to living in Japan and experiencing typhoons. even here in Utah when the winds kick up, I run outside and make sure everything isn't going to budge. Obsessive? Yes, LOL.

Two things I like about this cold and snow - the beautiful CLEAN fresh air. I do crack teh windows for a few minutes. The best air fresher there is and it helpd kill any kind of flu-cold germs. ANd when teh sky is cloudless - oh - the stars and Grandmother Moon - the sight is breath taking = just really have to dress warm to stand outside. When we have be out for a view - i have home made Hot Chocolate ready adn cookies. I think I'll go bake some . Talk with you all later this evening. Will do LAdy President Carol :) And so glad Anti M got here too. luv u all TLynn

Anita, do stay. He will receive help and have the chance to correct and improve his life. I'm just so sorry the timing was the worst it could be for him and for you.

I was in Yokosuka for a total of 12 years. Three years on my own orders, then I went back after a while in San Diego and a year in Diego Garcia. Then hubby transferred up from Sasebo (sea duty), to the Ship Repair Facility in Yokosuka (shore duty). Next, he got orders to a unit in Totsuka, and commuted (sea duty but he rarely deployed). We lived in the same little Japanese house for nine years. The Navy used to call that homesteading, and wouldn't allow it, but it saves them so much money it is becoming more common. Not nine years at one command, no, but nine years in one geographical area? Sure, happens all the time if the billets are open.

Hey all :)
Still buried here - not sure how the amount. It must be deep - the squirrel knocked on the door asking for a path be shoveled from his tree to the corn we put out.
Ladies - beautiful words of caring to Anita and I echo them along with you. By the way I just sent Anita a PM. It said this:
That the President of the Kleenex Club ( Carol ) said: "This site is not just for giggles and fun - it is were we Moms and 2 Dads come when there is a need of an ear too"
Then Sandy McD made a motion for her to - STAY
WE all voted that she needs to STAY
Debi our secretary place this discussion in the minutes - so know she has to stay
And then I mentioned if she doesn't - I'll PM her everyday :)
Have gossip and sharing / this site is the place to be - Always an Open ear!
I make a moiton - Lady President Carol - that we encourage Anita by All of us PMing her :) Anyone second this motion?
By the way - Hi Liosmac51. Jump in :) The water is always great here. And how about Grandma Loismac51 making a trip to Japan ?
Hugs TLynn
