Thanks, he is doing much better now. But still needs wants to  be held. With all the drainage he has his little throat has to be sore. So I am ready to cuddle anytime he needs.

Hey would you believe it - it is snowing here.  It is so wet too. I just don't want the temps to drop and we get ice.

Wish all a good evening

HI

Love those pics Blondie. I too would love to see that.

Kim - what a hoot. I got to remember if this happens to me. And Blondie - wil add your line - sorry i don't own a computer.

Hey we have a new word to add to our dictionary:

"Guilty Pleasure" = Mac and Cheese. Do we have any for Chocolate - Coffee - Rum and Coke ?

And yes that robin did follow us - and now it has a mate! Will post pics as soon as I can get them off my cell.

Hey - all Happy Spring!!! And we do have spring weather , it might snow :)

And I don't have anything to do !!! For Real a Nothing Day. So I want to wash windows.

Well, finally found out WHY littel Riker has been spitting up and crying so much and NOT sleeping. He has 2 ear infections. ON Thursday I told my son - something really is wrong. It can't just be his stomach. Son called got him to see doc yesterday at 4 pm and even teh doc was surprised. No fever - no pulling at his ears - had to look to see it.  We all feel so bad that we did not pick up on his pain sooner. But he had his first FULL sleep last night. So soon we should have a happy baby.

Hey - need to get going and do nothing :). hugs all

Anti M - your posting are Sooo Navy.

2tymeNavyMom - that is my sailor's position about driving/cars. He was so busy in his life he didn't get his US driver's license until right before he deployed in Japan, just in case, but as I said above he has no interest in getting a license over there.

Comment by 2tymeNavyMom on March 20, 2015 at 3:29pm

My son said he didn't want to get his license in Yokosuka, said it was too much of a pain in the butt.  There are special rules for who is at fault if there is an accident.  He said the bus and train system were good enough for him and his friends to get around.  He had a bike but that got stolen.

LOL, so new that the instruction is dated tomorrow (which it is over on the other side of the dateline).

Kim, this driver's ed program is brand new this year.  Perhaps the rules have changed yet again.  Yokosuka is quite good at that, changing things up.

Comment by Kim on March 20, 2015 at 12:27pm

My son did not have a U.S. drivers license when he went to Japan.  He was told that he could not get a drivers license in Japan.

Yes, on base the traffic laws are the same as off.  The other side of the road!  You can tell the newbs, they get in the "passenger" seat and pretend to rummage around in the glovebox, then switch sides.

Comment by Anti M on March 20, 2015 at 10:25am

There used to be free driver's ed courses on base in Japan.  That is no longer the case.  There are courses on base now, but they are fee based.  Many commands need to use their sailors as duty drivers, so those without a license would have to get one.  Probably be paid for by the command.  I know I was pressured to learn to drive by my command, but I cannot pass a road test; I hit things.

In short, do not be surprised if a sailor is pressed to learn to drive by their command.  Duty drivers are a thing.

The AAA thing does not work in Japan for the military.
