Thanks for the well wishes everyone! My Sailor girl arrived home last evening.  Thus far, my daughter has blessed me with laundry duty....lots of it. :)  I am grateful that I work at home (I do home child care) so I can have as much time with her as possible.

She is out at the mall with fiends now.

I pray that all of you who were slammed with snow, stay safe.

Take care new friends!  :)

So, anyway, welcome new moms. Glad you are hearing from your sailors & Cuka-enjoy that visit:)))
Blondie, congrats on the trophy, hehe....but glad your pain is getting better. I love the idea of using your dress to turn into a shawl. Have always loved tea length & will be perfect with the boots!
Congrats to you son Joshmom-what a great season!

Hey! that picture is from my area!!! Yep, we are on day 2 of being snowed in-about 60 in in less that 12 hours!!
This is a Lot, even for us. Our semi main rd has one lane plowed down the middle for emergency vehicles, but other than that, have not seen any road crews. Had to go out patio door to shovel out furnace vent and porch door. 6 deaths, sadly and we are in line to get another 1-2 feet overnight!  My family is all home and safe, thankfully. Snowplows cannot handle the volume and the national guard has arrived to help. Here's a pic from yesterdayand here is the front of our driveway

Good morning moms!  Today my girl comes home!  Our oldest, Nicole, lives in Schaumburg, IL, and is picking her sailor sister up to bring her home. So for tonight, I will have all my kids home. (My 15 yr old son, Matt, SAYS he is not excited to have his sisters home...he enjoyed  being the only child)

The homemade meatballs and pasta sauce are on the stove for dinner tonight, and I am ready to plug my Christmas lights in!  Yes, I plan to be "that neighbor" who decorates way too early!  Lol!

Praying you all have a beautiful Tuesday!!

Good morning Ladies'

Hope everyone had a good weekend, mine was sorta busy.  My Bluestar Mom's group was at an event with the Wall of Remembrance.  It had all the names of the first respondors, and military personnel that have died sinced 9/11/01.  It was very moving the see our young veterans become emotionally moved when they viewed a name of someone they knew.

I heard from my son, I now have his email, so finally communication can be begin.  I was really a very lonely momma.  We used to talk on the phone very other day or so, and before Japan he was home on leave, so I'm going through empty-nester and quiet house again.  I hate the quiet house.

Yes - share a hug for your daughter Cuka :).  And collect as many  hugs and store them in your heart.

Oh - well- you are right, 12-1 is good. That ref must have gotten snow blind during the 4th. Now wrestling! And you go to every event -right? With all that cheering - take care of your throat. But knowing you - if you could no cheer - you find a way to let  him know your support.

Snowing here - still. Need to split - scouts  hugs all

Yeah cuka! Such an exciting time. When my son headed to Japan he left in early December that year so we celebrated Christmas early...the only year I ever got my tree up before Thanksgiving! Give your girl a big hug from the 'pan moms!

Tlynn - bedroom sounds beautiful....another job you can check off the To-Do List....and yes we want pictures!

Well football is over. The boys lost but we are all so proud of the season they had....12-1 is awesome! It was a very cold game and we had flurries in the 4th qtr. Now he goes straight into wrestling....at least that's indoors!

Have a great day everyone!

HI all.

 Busy place as usually.

Welcome new moms!!!! Yippe more gossip. Oh- gossip here does not mean talking bad about someone. Here it means share about your sailor and what you are up too.

Talking about "up "- only Blondie. Now was I laughing when you explained how this happened ? Well kinda . I mean - we can just see it happening as you explained it. Sorry - a giggle is popping up now. I feel sorry for the your doc and I agree - put it on Funnies Home Videos - you will win! Congrats on the raise and all tea length - I want to see those boots.

Cheer - Cheer for the District Champs !!!! Ok - on pins and needles here Joshmom. How the game go? Did it snow during the game?

Kim - so perfect award for Blondie. But remembering how things go for you - well - it might be back on your mantle. Keep us posted on the baby coming. And you shared it all perfectlly for the new moms. Plus letting them know - we stick together. My sailor too is state side. But was in Japan for 3 years . He like to go back too.

Hey - Maggs. Hugs sweet lady. No Shark has not ambushed me. She has been eating very well lately and then wants to sleep. I think this cold weather ( it snowed today and it is staying) is making her want to stay close to hot rock. So what is Angel up too? And will you take her to see Santa.

Hey - we got teh bedroom painted. Teh color is a soft violet and now has a calm atmosphere. Girl friend helped me get my pictures form my phone to go on fb. Now I will try to share some pics of this place.  But first I have to get fb to agree that it is me again.  I have to keep entering my password. I must have hit a wrong key again to make fb think its not me.

Well, wish all sweet dreams  hugs all

Welcome Cuka -

Something to add - my sailor finally made it onto his ship in October & got his APO [mailing address] Postage to oversees APO personnel is the same as US Domestic - letters 0.46 cents/Large Flat rate boxes $15.90, etc....

Also we sent a large box & it took appx. 2.5 weeks to get this. Finally the holidays of cause additional delays start getting your packages ready soon. Here is the US Postal Services suggested mail dates for Military/APOs https://www.usps.com/holiday/welcome.htm

Good luck
