I'm also on FB. You can send me a PM if interested in finding me on FB. I agree with Judy, ask what he needs or wants. My son said his locker is full from the boxes his brother and I sent, plus one from our church. Sent another box out on Monday. He asked for more Country Time Lemonade (individual packets), Gummy Bears, beef jerky, underwear and a camera. Even though they share, not everything gets used. Our church sent a large jar of peanut butter that hasn't been opened yet.

Hi Grace, My son is a Reservist, deployed to Kuwait in Jan. Go to www.usps.com/supportingourtroops. I found this site to be very informative.

Matty's Mom - Glad you found this website and our group!! My son is no longer in Kuwait - but since I started the group, I still come visit every once in a while!

What to send him - it all depends!! If he is on a base he probably won't need as much as if he were out in the Persian Gulf. I would just maybe send him some things like - (well, Derek would have liked books, music, etc.) My son asked for some special liquid soap and lotion!! I guess with the heat it got real dry over there. I found some lotion especially for men - I did not want him smelling like roses!! Just don't pack food in with the smell stuff.

Hi, My Sailor, Derek, has been in Kuwait a few days. He says that they have free phone calls to home!!! I have heard from him twice already. This is so different from everything else that I have read, (Skype, phone cards, no cell phones, etc.) Anyone out there with some experience in Kuwait??
