Good Morning Isaiah40:31,

Yes my son left yesterday and it has been rough. Received the phone call last night at 11:02. He sounded rough. Thank god for this page, the support has been tremenddous. Really  cant settle my nerves. Just feeling lost without my son, but knowing he is safe and we will speak soon, incredible.

My daughter left on the 1st also. Never really participated in forums or chat rooms so this is all new to me. Its nice to know there are others out there with the same questions. So glad I found this site!!

@karenj welcome! my kids would laugh at me because I am so technologically goofy. They say mom just read it and it is simple yeah right. I have learned so much about acronyms and jobs, support and the whole process. It has been a relief.

My son left the 1st and this weekend has been rough! but knowing there are others out there especially starting on the same date is a blessing.

One day at a time!

Hi! I'm still trying to figure out how to get in the group left in April or April 1st. I think I need to change my settings and will try to figure that out tonight or tomorrow.  I will try to friend you, if I can figure that out. :)

You are where you need to be. You can also comment on the main page of this group by clicking on DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in April either here or above. Once you get The Form Letter with the PIR date, watch in Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and/or at http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date and join the group for that once it has been created.

To Friend a member, click on the member's profile pic anywhere in the site and it will take you to their My Page. Then click "Add as Friend" under the member's picture on their My Page.

Isaiah40:31 we have to wait for there form letter. That will tell us what division they are in and what there PIR date is. We have another week before we get that letter.
Be strong!
No I have not yet. I called Fedex and they do not have my address in system yet., ugh!
I hadn't thought of doing that. I'm guessing since Good Friday was a holiday, it'll be an extra day.

Friday was not a federal holiday, so it will not affect anything,

I have not received "the Box" yet so all I can do is patiently wait.

I received "the box" this past Tuesday along with cellphone & cross necklace in FedEx pack envelope. That was strange to me for those weren't in "the box." My SR donated their clothes, so all in "the box" was the Navy START booklet, Navy drawstring bag, Navy ball cap and cell charger with the airline ticket. Plenty of room to put in the cellphone and cross necklace. Now will be looking for the form letter next week.

That was interesting that you got both "the box" and the envelope. Perhaps your recruit was concerned that the cross necklace and cell phone would rattle around in "the box" since there was no padding and decided on paying for both "the box" and the envelope.
