Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Good Afternoon Moms of Future Sailors,
My son is leaving for GL Thursday, Aug 30th. Anyone else have a son/daughter leaving that day or close? Emotional rollercoaster now that closing in on 30 days.

My son left on the 30th as well. It has been an emotional roller coaster and continues to be! Have you gotten a form letter yet? We are still waiting - hoping this week.

Hi, Friend, Navy4JK, still waiting for the form letter,too. I'm good when I'm at work but when I get home, I feel sad, missing my son but time flies, I go to my kitchen and start cooking till I get tired. Luckily, my daughter is still home with us, she's a big comfort. Let me know when you get yours....I'll do the same.

Hi Deb, thanks for the note. I have another son, HS Freshman this year, so he keeps my mind occupied some but I am thinking of my recruit all the time. I will definitely let you know when we get the form letter!

I feel the same, Navy4JK, I don't go upstairs till after dinner, I feel sad looking at his bedroom closed now and not hearing his voice. My son is 24, for me it's the culture that we have, we are so overprotective of our kids, they stay home till they get married, or even when they are married.My daughter is 30 and still home, just started working as an RN here in Albany. She's engaged and getting married March,2020 and will probably leave the house.They are both born here and adapted the American way of life. So hard for us parents to see them go. I just wish that they will stay home forever. You have 2 boys, that's great, enjoy the other one while he's still home with you.

Received the form letter today. Made me happy to see his handwritten envelope :) It's the little things that mean the most. Looking forward to a phone call - hoping next weekend!!

Yes, my Daughter left then. She is in Ship #3 Division 420. I have received 2 letters as well as a phone call. First letter sounded not great. Her second letter was much better. Still haven't received our letter on Graduation. She did say it would be Oct 26th. Can't wait to see her and give her a big hug. So proud of her. Then She is off to Nuke School.

Informed delivery shows I have a letter coming today from my SR. The return address shows Ship 6, Div 425. The mail carrier can't get here soon enough! Today is a good day! :)
