I just got word my son is in Ship 13 Div 326. I got his 'aromatic' box last week and the letter this week. He graduates on Oct 1st, but I'm not sure if he's grad and go.
Hey! Our sons are in the same Div.:)

My son is also Ship 13 Division 326. Received box last Thursday, form letter on Monday. Sent letter yesterday, five pages two of which were fill-in-the-blanks along with a SASE. He isn't much of a writer but I will wait for first letter to find out if I am wrong. May need to buy stock in Kleenex. Have cried some every day and starting today will hound the mail man. My mail arrives late in the afternoon. Have washed everything washable from the "box" and folded carefully. Am worried about the teeth thing, why is it the recruiters won't tell us everything? Also, any parent(s) leaving from Texas for PIR 10/1/10 who want to drive, I will share gas and driving. contact me. Elaine. P.S. Everyone have a great day, our kids will make us and the Navy proud.
I considered renting a van and driving since there will be at least 4 of us and that would cut flight prices in a big way, especially because of the date being so iffy. But then considering its at least 20 hrs each way, thats alot of time gone (Wed - Monday?). Ugh... decisions, would be nice to already have a vehicle there though. With at least 3 drivers we could do it straight.... but thats not comfortable and no in flight beverages.... but driving is cheaper and no flights to miss or worry about overbooking..... but..... What part of Texas are u located. I am Laredo, 2.5 hours south of San Antonio
Bonniern, I am in Weatherford, Texas. It is about 30 minutes west of Fort Worth. I like to drive and can go 12-14 hours behind the wheel. Just give me some coffee and I am good to go.
Hey all! My son is in Ship 13 Div 326. Im one proud Mama:) I think this was a great choice for my son. Prays and Congrats go out to each and every family. I received my letter from him, but not a box? Any ideas as to why? All he had was a back pack with day old clothes in it:)
What day did he ship out? My boys left on a Monday and Fed Ex came on Friday with the box

No letters, No call : ( Hopefully soon. The 900's that got there earlier are starting to call. Saw one of the 300 divisions that got to make calls, so now I am really hopeful. Good luck to all of you being there when that first call comes in. I am going to keep my phone by my side.
Discussion will be closed. Come meet us in PIR 10/1/10 group
