My son just signed a new contract for Rescue Swimming and got his BC changed to July 29.

Just wondering if any one else is leaving that day?

Also any other Rescue Swimming of Special Ops moms with kids leaving in July for BC?

Thanks Kris(Whatever)

Since many of you have future Sailors who will be in an 800 division, the Page, 800 and 900 Divisions, will have some important information for you.

Especially for those of you with future Sailors who will be in an 800 Division, make sure that you do not post pics of your future Sailor or anyone associated with him/her. That includes your profile pic. See OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile).

For those with future Sailors with contracts in other fields, still don't post pics of your future Sailor, but you can post pics of others although some of us think that it is best not to.

Hi, my DEPPER is leaving on the 28th from Spokane WA. She's going in as a CTI, and is really excited/nervous too. I can totally relate to being proud of her decision to join and nervous about the lack of contact for long periods of time. She & I are close and I'm really appreciating this time now, trying to store up memories for the future. :)  I'm so glad I found N4M it's answered a lot of my questions and eased some of my nervousness about BC and A school.

Hi huskyfan and welcome.  It looks like our Deppers will be in bootcamp together.  Yours probably leaves a day earlier then mine because you live farther away from Great Lakes. I too have a lot of the same feelings you do.  I'm just glad we have this site for answers to our questions and support.  Is your daughter still in high school?  My son will graduate may31. So the next couple months will be busy and go quick.  Only 91(or 92) days till BC.  Do you have any idea where your daughters A school is at?  My son will be heading to Florida after BC.

Have I given you info on your future Sailor's rating (job/specialty) and groups? If not leave a comment on my My Page with the rating.

Wow, when you put it like that it's really close!

My Boyfriend is contracted for SWCC leaves July 28.

I can't believe its the end of May.   Our sailors will be leaving in 61-62 days for BC.  I'm sure the time will fly.  My sailor graduates from Highschool this weekend.  Are others of you going through graduation also?

Hey Tayshay,  Welcome to this group sorry I didn't reply sooner.  This month is crazy.  Your boyfriend should be in the same 800 division as my son.  Looks like we have several of loved ones on this site in the same boat(no pun intended).  But they will be on the same ship in the same unit at the same time.   It helps to know we all have that bond.

Just an  FYI, you currently have a future Sailor and once he has sworn in at MEPS on the way to the RTC and all the time he is at the RTC you will have a Recruit or SR; you will not have a Sailor until he has passed Battle Stations-21 (BST) in the last week before PIR. After he passes BST then you will get the "I'm a Sailor!" call and you then will have a US Navy Sailor.
