Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

husband left july 1st..
My husband left on July 1st for boot camp. Just wondering if anybody else has a sailor that left that day?? It's been tough adjusting. Still waiting to get the box. I've been writing a letter every day, can't wait to get his address so I can send them all! Today is his birthday and I wish I could do something special for him. I'll make it up to him for sure!!

My son left on July 1st as well. I just got a message from his father that he received his clothes. I'm assuming this is the 'box' you're talking about. Is the form letter that gives us his ship included in that package? Or will that be delivered separately? I'm anxious to find out his ship info.

The form letter comes about a week after the box . I just got the box yesterday so now I'm waiting on the form letter.

I still have not received the box. My husband left the same day 7/1. I'm hoping I get it soon so I don't have to worry

My son left on July 1st as well. I got the "box" yesterday. I can't wait for the "letter". I can say, sometimes when I'm on this site, I just want to cry. But I know that he made a great decision in joining the Navy. I miss him like crazy. I know that they do it for a reason, but the whole "disconnect" is killing me!

Hi everyone! I'm Jessie. My boyfriend left on the first, although his ship date was technically the 2nd. I just got his box a couple hours ago! :)
