Well we are on count down, my son leaves in just 18 days. We are very close, he is the youngest of 3 the other two are 10 and 12 years older so it has been awhile since I have had one to leave. It's been emotional for both of us as he packs up his room and is saying goodby to his friends. I am so proud of him, but am going to miss him so much. Not only do I have to get adjusted to him being gone, but my husband and I will be empty nesters.

I have 19 days until my son leaves. I pray that things go well for your son and your family!

thank you, and prayers for you as well

My son leaves on the 28th too. Right now he is at his Dad's in MO for a last visit. I have been planning a few things for us to do before he leaves. A trip to Blue Hole in Wimberly for some swimming, An Astro's game vs the Red Sox and a few movies.Mostly he will be glued to his Xbox One.Using up a few vacation days from work.I am super proud of him and can't wait to see him succeed. I will be an empty nester too, starting to plan MY life again. :) Fun times.

It's funny my son is the one encouraging me to do something fun, so I'm looking at going back to school and learning a new career.

I see we are both from texas, it will be nice to have someone close by to talk too.

Hello, my daughter leaves in 19 days too.  She has cleaned out her room a few weeks ago.  We took a trip to Disney a few weeks ago.  Now she is spending most of her time working and with a friend. I haven't seen her much.  She is torn up about who to send her box and the letter to, me her mom who she lives with, or to her Dad.   I told her, that I would share the information with her Dad,  keep her phone safe and bring it to graduation. I reminded her that I am always here for her and am so very proud.

Prayers to all for your daughters and sons and families.  I will miss our lunch dates and going shopping together.

prayers for your daughter as well, my son and I have always done a lot together, I will miss him carrying things and reaching the high stuff on the shelf and teasing me about being short 5'2", lol

Thanks so much. All the best to you.

I still have a way to go before my son leaves can you tell me anything about Dep

I am very new to this as well when does your son leave?

Hi my son went on the 28th as well but did yours go to the hotel on the 28th or on the 27th? My son checked in on the 27th to the hotel and went to boot camp the next moring after he swore in on the 28th. Is this the same time for your son?

Hello! My son left to hotel on the 27th, got to RTC on the 28th. Best wishes to your son.
