My son as well. I will keep your son in my thought and prayers. I don't know about you but I am having a hard time adjusting to this new world. He was my youngest, so my husband and I feel the emptiness in the house. Even the animals are confused, but knowing there are others of us our there doing the same thing helps. Sending hugs!
I will be there in July!
My husband and I went to Chicago for the first time this year to visit and we had a blast. I don't know how much time we'll get to spend with our sailors but I'm still looking forward to it. Can we say where we are from? I guess I should review the rules again.
Trish, You can friend each other and send PM's, but saying where you are from is fine. (Yes, it is a good thing to check before posting when you are not sure.)
You will have from about 10:30 am when Liberty is called until sometime that evening with your new Sailor and then you will meet him at the airport sometime in the wee hours the next day and give him a few things before he flies out. There is info on how to plan your weekend in the info I left on your My Page about the MT rating earlier this week.
Hello Trish my son arrived this week as well, May 16th. I have been nervous, excited, proud, emotional...and just trying to keep it together.
Thank you for your kind words. You are so right, you go from falling in love to having kids and all of your activities and discussions surround them.....then all of a sudden you are here. We are actually going away this weekend just to re-coup. I will definitely be there in June. I would not miss this for the world!!
That sounds like fun. I have to say that weird feeling does last for a few weeks. haha. Then one day you're like... I'm going to make it!!!
