Liberal and with an Open Mind

We are also known as the Warm & Fuzzie Obama Mamas - and are proud to support our president! Agnostic - Humanist - Atheist - Jewish - Buddhist - Democratic - Independent - Christian - Deist - searching .....all peaceful peeps are welcome!

When you have achieved an open mind you can then open your heart to humanity. Commit charitable acts, volunteer, help those who cannot help themselves. Look around you and see the world as it is and do your part to make it better. Establish the values of great people who have wandered down this very same road before you. Begin where they left off, build a better world for those to follow you or teach them how to journey down their own path.

An open mind equals an open heart which ultimately leads to world peace.

Kephen Merancis

If by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal." ~ John F. Kennedy

I tried to post a comment, but when i tried to copy it so I could post it here too, my keypad was acting up. Too bad, it was a good reply.

I am amazed at her arrogance, as if I had never served, as if I had not looked tyranny in the face in Saudi and Iran, as if I have never stood in the sacred places of America and contemplated the sacrifices which gave us this great country. Golly, I'm still a liberal.

Her use of icons is disturbing, the Pledge gets me really going. It was written by a Socialist, and "under God" was added in the 50s during the Red Scare, when we feared communism enough to rip apart our own country needlessly. And then our forefathers? Like the freethinker Thomas Paine who thought the Bible was mere literature and that Christian churches were corrupt, who did not believe in miracles and angels? Someone is not a history major, is she? A rabble rouser, using fear and hate and sentiment to call other fearful souls to her perceived cause? Yes. Educated? No.

I suppose "whack-a-doodle" is not sufficient explanation?

Whoa. Pretty impressive on the paranoia and delusion front.

More die in Afghanistan

I'm coming off of that fence. You'll read here "we didn't even need to go on that mssion..." and seven died, plus an Afghani interpreter. The more I read, and listen to the reports, it seems that Afghanistani doesn't really want us there. Works for me, Pakistan is not helping us, why do we worry about them, we're the stronger power, I have no problem with taking air power to them...except they do have a nuke, don't they? geez. So complicated, but it's getting worse and worse there....if joeblow normal there is assisting in killing Americans, screw 'em.

I cried when I first saw the Dover footage... photo op my ass! How he must feel, knowing he sent them into harm's way, and they went, and they died.

And I thought I had a lot of time on my hands... what a sorry lot of wet hens.

I woke up with cold symptoms this morning... don't know if it is flu, but so far, no fever. I had a dentist appointment for a cleaning, but canceled that. Didn't seem prudent.

And we're having the first snowfall of autumn. Oh yay.

And a very good morning to you all.

Rush is a moron. I have zero respect for that hypocrite.

On our Jeep, which I sold to my brother:

"Isis! Isis! Ra! Ra!Ra!"
"Freedom of religion means ANY religion" with Wiccan symbols
"Would someone poke holes in the top of my jar?"
"My Karma ran over your Dogma"
plus a Utah burners symbol on the back window.

He was married to a devout Catholic, the first one she tried to peel off was the Isis one. How foolish, that was the joke one.

Currently our Trailblazer has a discreet burning man decal on the back window. the scooter has a Utilikilt symbol on the front fender. The Scion has a "pac-rat" decal for hubby and a Godzilla in a heart for me. The lone bumpersticker is a "Reserved Parking #69" from Donna's Ranch. Yep, a legal brothel in Nevada. We used to park there overnight in the semi because the truckstop was nasty. Best free coffee and free showers in the state.

We used to have "real men wear skirts" but lost it when the bumper had repairs done. I have a "Got Kilt?" which needs to go on... from the Scottish teabag Society. LOL.
