Liberal and with an Open Mind

We are also known as the Warm & Fuzzie Obama Mamas - and are proud to support our president! Agnostic - Humanist - Atheist - Jewish - Buddhist - Democratic - Independent - Christian - Deist - searching .....all peaceful peeps are welcome!

When you have achieved an open mind you can then open your heart to humanity. Commit charitable acts, volunteer, help those who cannot help themselves. Look around you and see the world as it is and do your part to make it better. Establish the values of great people who have wandered down this very same road before you. Begin where they left off, build a better world for those to follow you or teach them how to journey down their own path.

An open mind equals an open heart which ultimately leads to world peace.

Kephen Merancis

If by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal." ~ John F. Kennedy

If I hit the lottery, I'd fly us all in to attend, wearing costumes from Harry Potter.

They believe every word in the Bible. Makes one wonder if they've actually read the entire book; some sections are brutal and inhumane. Do they eat pork? Rape their handmaidens?

As long as they don't burn their chicken....

Elysant, my hubby used to make hand-sewn leather goods and garments for the SCA folk on base in Totsuka. had some Civil War re-enactors who liked his work too. And the guys in the Harley riding club.

Fox caught manufacturing the news...so what else is new?

Welcome Elysant!! I know they occasionally check packages, but usually when mail arrives in 35,000 lb loads, most of it gets by...at least those mags did that I sent my son (by his request...and no, I didn't go to the back room where the "real" ones were...).

Hey mamadoc! Just popped in her and saw your comments. I wouldn't worry about your political leanings or opinions causing issue with his advancement. Other members have been more concerned with posting details that jeopardize their Sailor's security, reveal information that could get their Sailor in trouble, or have issue with RDCs reading comments about recruits in BC. Again, this is something you should discuss with your son so you can understand what he is feeling uncomfortable about.

Here's the deal...our children, the children of liberals and moderates, joined a volunteer military in spite of a sitting President who politically stood for pretty much everything we (and our kids) consider bad for our country. But they enlisted...some for education, some for excitement, or to follow their dreams, all because they are patriots. The encouragement of these rw families to not honor this sitting President, to ignore his speech and call him disgustingnames, will show it's effect in long term ways. Those kids will not be patriots of the USA, they will not enlist, they will not serve any President because they are being taught by their rw parents not to honor our President today. So, possibly a draft will have to be started again...but do you want your child serving next to the child of one of those people not supporting a simple speech to the children of the USA? can they be trusted to uphold their oath to our country and flag under stressful conditions? can they be REAL soldiers, sailors, Marines? doubt it, they'll be republicans first then Americans. Republicans are destroying our country by teaching their children to not be loyal to our flag, our President , our country.

Text from the health care rally...

"Mercy more than life" -- have you ever noticed those words before? Supporting universal health care does not make you socialist or even a liberal, it makes you a human being.
