Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Lincoln Christmas Pillowcase project

NEEDED!!!!! Anyone who can sew or donate to sewers to make pillowcases for the sailors aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. The project has changed hands and is now in desperate need of more cases for our sailors. ANY AND ALL help is more than appreciated

We have had a wonderful out pouring of support,some more than others, some as they were able.
And each contribution was meaningful and oh, so appreciated !
The goal of 5,000 pillowcases-one for each and every service member aboard this vessel !- has almost been reached, but unfortunately, so has the mailing date.
Bottom line...in spite of our best efforts so far,our sailorss will NOT be getting a Christmas pillowcase without YOUR help, just one more big pussh and it will be done---kind of like when you gave birth to your sailor,huh? final, hard push is the hardest,but the reward was a miracle!
Now we need you to push hard again and make another miracle happen;a smile on the face of each and every tired, dirty, achy,homesick ..son or daughter of us ALL !!!
It is sad to think of any sailor not having the love and support of letters and packages from back home, but it happens-a lot.Yet they get up every day and night, do their duty, and serve us with honor.
And they, too, need a pillowcase at Christmas. Our goal is that NO sailor does without at Christmas.
So...if you can sew,or contribute to the cost of a few more cases or for mailing expensses,contact me for instructions.If you cannot sew, you can still help! walmart sells pillowcases for about $3.00,if you take them home, wash them, and let the kids and their friends paint on them with fabric paint to personalize them, GREAT !!! if they want to cut out fabric and glue pretty pictures on them with fabric glue,GREAT!
PLEASE< PLEASE...contact your boy and girl scout troops, PTA,hunting club,Church,fellow employees, WHATEVER IT TAKES, let's make this happen!!!!
we have roughly one or two weeks left,and WE CAN STILL DO THIS !!!
Can you remember when they were little,under the Christmas tree on Christmas morning? Let's put THAT look on 5,000 faces !!!

Ok so what is the point of asking for P.O.Cs if the command is going to assign them anyways? I signed up to do this when I asked my husband to be the POC. He hates doing these things but agreed to do it for me. Now he just informed me that someone else was assigned by the command to be the POC for his dept. Also they were taking requests. We have 1/3 of them done, and another 1/3 cut. It's too late for requests for the entire dept. From what I can tell, it's not much of a surprise at all for their dept.

Ladies, I may have some fabric if anyone needs some. Bands are already cut and I have some twin sheets I can send for the cases. Let me know and I can get them mailed out on Tuesday.

I love the poem also! When ever I send my pillowcases for HAE, I put the card on the inside of the PC so it doesn't fall out. Sue sent me some PCs to add to my group and they were made by some quilters in AZ, they put little stickers inside on the band with who they were made by. I thought about doing that but the poem is better in my opinion. I think if they don't like them for their religious reasons, they can take them out. Just like getting them for Christmas, if they don't like it, they don't have to take one.
