Hello Idaho Navy Moms!
My son just left for BC on the 27th so now that I am able to start to function again..(somewhat) I know its time for me to take on my new role as a support to my son now as a Navy Mom. I am here to learn all I can on how to do that and to get to know you all and share our experiences. I am still waiting for my letter of course to find out what his ship# and all that stuff is..it will be so good to be able to atleast write to him. I hope to be able to meet you to sometime..and do you guys get together? do projects for the sailors?

Hi everyone...Dec. 11 should work fine for me as well. Hope everyone is doing well.

As of right now, the 11th works fine. Let me know...maybe we could do a fun small gift exchange or ornament exchange? And I will be the jealous one...your kids coming home on the 12th. Don't know if we will get to see James and Brandy. Depends on what happens with flight school and if they have to move to Oklahoma City or stay in Pensacola. Time will tell. Anyway...the offer stands to host something here in Boise.

How about a December gathering? I would be willing to host it at my house in Boise...let me know. I can't do the first weekend...BSU game and an Irish dance performance at Barnes and Noble. Other than that...I think I'm open.

How about Saturday, Nov. 13th?

Hi ladies. Saw that today was Navy Day (@ Warhawk Museum) and realized I hadn't visited the site in a couple of weeks. Hope all is well with everyone. Does anyone have an update on Cyndi? Is there anything she needs or can we do anything (other than prayers) for her? I know everyone's thoughts and prayers continue to be with her.
Kay finished plebe summer. She was happy she lost 20# in the 6 week period. Lucky her...she loses 20 lbs and she was even on running restriction! Her MRI went well. The meniscus tear in her knee is healing so she won't need surgery. She has started running again and starts rugby next week. They started classes this week and is excited to "really getting into" midshipman life. Oh yeah, she has 4 room mates. Other than enlisted boot camp she has never lived with so many people!! She is adjusting. She is enjoying the east coast.

Hi Ladies, I'm home. It's hard for me to post right now about my excitement with PIR. I'll post my journey at a later date.
I am heart broken for you Cindy, please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers..... and know that we're all here for you when you need us.

Des...please extend our prayers to Cindy and remind her that her Navy family is here for her if she needs anything. Such a difficult time.

Kay finished Plebe summer in (almost) one piece! She is in the throws of Parents weekend spending some much deserved down time with her cousin & her family (who is her sponsor family) as well as her aunt and uncle. They all live in the Annapolis area and can step in for Bill and I when we can't be there. Kay is scheduled for an MRI of the knee on the 17th with an ortho consult on the 18th. The trainers are telling her she'll probably need surgery on her knee that she more than probably tore her meniscus. The MRI should give us the final verdict. Don't know anything more than that. She has been on running restrictions since the problems started but even then there were times she was expected to run. Will let you know when I find out more.

Hope this finds everyone well. Has Tina and Mary back from GL yet? Hope PIR was memorable for you. Catch us up on the festivities!!
