FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Kim, she did ask for civi clothes, I found the cutest lil shorts (at walmart of all places) white with purple little anchors all over them. TOO CUTE! :D

I'm all for that! I just called the Hotel, it's only a $2 fee ea. way. I am soo gonna go that route. Thanks for the heads up.

Keep the in-put coming ladies... I need all the inside info. i can get. Still looking for that PERFECT pizza place. Anything ladies? :D

Hi Kim, What a great idea, i would love to have another sailor with us. (are there really kids that don't have anyone come?) I can't even imagine that. :(...

Did anyone find any AMAZING pizza place that you'd recommend? (Chicago is the place for pizza,right?) or any other places. It would save me some time looking. Now that i will have a GPS i can go right to it.

Thank you SAILORGIRLMOM, I will probably sit close to the bottom, maybe a few rows higher.... but i want to be able run onto the floor and get to my new sailor asap. LOL Thanks again for the input. Very much APPRECIATED! :D

SAILORGIRLMOM, Thank you sooo much, should i be there earlier then 6:30am?
Where is the best place to sit in the bleachers, high or low? I'm going to buy the DVD, should i still video tape graduation? Did you have to pay extra for the GPS?

Thank you Rikki Lee. You must be really EXCITED!!! I can feel your excitement.... My baby girl is graduating BC in 7days 9hrs 15min and 25 sec.!!!! I'm beside myself. :D

Kim...cute, ya, I'm prejudice. Not sure she'd agree with "tiny". She is 5'7" and about 140#. In her first letter home she wrote 2 sentences. Her first sentence was: "I am such a lard ass" !! I just laughed. She realized she was a bit more out of shape than some of her fellow mids!!
