Hi guys...here is a pic of Kay on Induction Day @ USNA. She was the guide-on for her company. Kind of small but I'm going to see if I can edit it a bit when I get home so people can see her face. Hope everyone has a good rest of the week.

ok, I just re-read my last post (suppose I should do that before I post, huh??!!). For those of you not familiar with TX, Fort Worth is land locked as well except for some man made lakes and a river or two. Its less than 500 miles from the coast but still not directly on a coast.

ohhhhhhhh ok. The place doesn't sound familiar but the point it being a school reminds me the Navy can be anywhere! I forget that in Ft Worth (TX) there is a Naval Air Station at the Joint Reserve Base. Thanks for the info. Congrats on the upcoming wedding and baby to be!!

OK, Elna, I'm stumped. I've been to Saratoga Springs, NY. What NAVY installation is there? Except for a lake its land locked!! What does he do?

Thank you Vicki for the warm welcome. My daughter Heather went into the Navy as an E-3 (due to having two years of Pre-Med under her belt up at the university of Idaho) She'll finish the next two years of college on the ship, then go onto med-school. I'm not sure how this whole school thing gonna work? but, Heather signed up to work on fighter jets, as an electrician???(cuz she would like to fly some day) She wanted to change rate once she got into BC, she wanted to change to a Medic, but they told her that she couldn't and that she needed to wait 2 yrs before she could change... she wants to be stationed on a air craft carrier, not even sure what jobs those are? Everything is OOOH so new.... what is your sons rate? how long did he sign for? Thank you for the advice on PIR, anything else you can think of would be more then appreciated! cuz, I'm absolutely not in my right mind right now. My head is spinning. LOL I'm Looking forward to being Navy mom friends! :D
