Welcome, Sharon. You'll enjoy getting to know the other Navy Moms in Idaho. I live in Boise, daughter been in for 3 years. Beginning is tough; can't say it ever gets easy, but it does get easier. I've been a member for a short time and I understand the Boise area group gets together regularly. Keep checking back...I know one of these fine ladies is planning a get together soon! Keep the faith. Your daughter will do fine...and wo will you! Jane

Teresa,
I'm a nurse (for a very long time!!!!!) and the Navy offers programs that will pay for her nursing education. She would be commissioned upon graduation. Great way to pay for college! Have her contact the recruiter and they can either talk with her about it or put her in touch with a nursing recruiter. Hope this helps. jane

Welcome, Teresa. I'm new to the group as well. My daughter has been in for 3 years and is a MA2 stationed at the sub base in Silverdale, WA. She expects to go oversees this summer. (thats her in the picture!). We live in Boise. Again, welcome. Jane

I too am interested in getting together with other moms in Idaho, (but I'm going to be selfish and narrow it down to the Boise area!). Hope we'll be able to do that after the first of the year. I'd like to wish each of you a wonderful New Year. Best wishes, thoughts and prayers are also sent to everyone's children who protect us while serving in the Navy.
