Hello Proud Idaho MOMS!  My son Taylor left for Boot Camp on Aug 2nd.  No word from him yet.  He graduates Sept 30th.  How long  was you allowed to stay?  And where was a good place for rooms. Thanks for your help!

Congrats, grandma Kim!  Be sure to post some pictures when you get a chance!  I love the name.  How did they choose "Landon"?   It was wonderful that Alex was able to be home for the birth.  You are so lucky to have that little one in your life.  Is Alex's wife (sorry, forgot her name) sill living with you?  If so, will that continue?   Talk to you soon.

Got the box today, must have been in a hurry cause the clothes were not even folded (lol). There was also a brand new pair of Navy issued underwear. Oh Oh. Looking on the bright side, the form letter is next!

Kim...good to see you online.  How are things?  What's/where is Alex these days?  Kay got thru plebe year and looking forward to her next year.  This summer she has had some leave (was home for 2 weeks) and is now on her first summer cruise.  She is assigned to Little Creek, VA to an LSD  called the Gunter Hall.  The boat is in port and unfortunately not expected to go out this summer.  The purpose of this summer cruise is to have the midshipman work along side enlisted personnel to get to know what they do and how they function.  Since she is 5 yrs with prior enlistment she'll have the opportunity to learn what the different jobs are on the boat but I think mostly she is just going to have some fun.  It won't be as stressful for her as with some of her fellow mids since she was once enlisted.  After Little Creek she is going to summer school to get a little bit  ahead in school.  Once summer school is over then the regular school year starts again.  Busy kid.

Hope everyone on the list is doing well.  Welcome to all the new members.
