Here's where we can share what we know!

MYCAA is great bc they don't care if you have other financial aid. Using it allowed me to pocket the rest of my aid! It also lets you pay for undergrad, graduate school, or any other certificate/licensing programs.

There's also a scholarship you can apply for through NMFA..the application period is over, but it's an annual scholarship. It's not much (I think it's only $1000..but anything helps right?)  http://www.militaryfamily.org/our-programs/military-spouse-scholars...

The navy marine corp relief society also provides spouse scholarships/loans/grants..in special categories (i.e. scholarships for spouses whose husbands are deceased/deployed)
http://www.nmcrs.org/education.html

Don't forget to check with your college's Veterans Affairs office. they have a lot of spouse only scholarships too :)

Also, one of my final papers in college was about military spouses and education..I interviewed the lady in charge of the Navy College on base and she opened my eyes to lots of new opportunities. If you guys have a chance, stop by one..they can help with just about everything! and it's free  :)

I also heard from a friend in grad school that the gov. aid you normally receive from fafsa to cover undergrad expenses also can help pay for grad school :)

but first and foremost, make sure you apply for in-state tuition if you are a military spouse. most states honor it and it helps A LOT!

Also, while looking around for more resources, I found several navy sites linking to this: http://www.alliedschools.com/military-spouse-training.shtml It's a school that provides free online training to spouses..it sounds too good to be true..I'd do a little more research on this to find out if it's really legit. Anyone heard of Allied Schools?

Kathy - FREAKIN' Awesome girl.
I'm lovin' MYCAA too, but just to throw it out there, it's under review so no new applicants are being taken, but definitely keep an eye on new info from them at the militaryonesource.com site because it's $6,000 and that's a good chunk of change :D
Awesome! Thank you! I will definitely look into all these :)
This is great! There is so much to know about being a military spouse & all the great things we can get too! I keep bookmarking all the info you ladies share with us so when I need it, I have it all saved! Thank you!!!
Updated MYCAA info (they finished their review):

They've limited what it can be used for and reduced the amount you get to 4,000, but it still may help you so check it out! :)
