Hello
We look forward to hearing about your sailors journey. How he/she likes being an MAA (MA) and which kind of job they are doing and how you are doing knowing what your sailor does for a living.
NOTE: Please help keep our sailors safe. Don't give out exact locations.Example: If he/she is in Iraq you can say Iraq but I would not say the name of the camp or a town near the camp. If they are on a ship don't give the last known location. Although some of that is public we don't in anyway want to jeopardize them.

Janie, yes it is beautiful here in Florida. Glad to hear that you will see Stephen in just 2 weeks. I was able to see Allen over Easter weekend. He is shipping out on May 4 for 1 year. Hopefully time will fly by. His first child is expected to be born on September 27, while he is overseas.

Maggie McD, that is great that your husband got his hard copy papers! I don't know anything about Kings Bay, GA, but hope all goes well for you there. Twenty days seems like a lot of time for notice when in the military...lol! My son, Allen was stationed in Virginia Beach, VA for 2 years. It wasn't his most favorite area. He was always going to Norfolk when there.

2 more weeks until we see Stephen. I am excited. Janie

Well, he doesn't graduate A School until May 14th, so I dont know if 20 days is a lot of time, and Im not sure if he is gonna be able to just leave right away after A School is done because he doesn't have his itinerary yet, but we will see!

My husband just got our paper orders yesterday!! They told us verbally that we were going to Norfolk, but our orders are now for Kings Bay, Georgia and he must report to SWFLANT and the Marine Corp Security Force Battalion by June 3rd!!! After I did all this research on Norfolk and everything!!!

Yeah it worked. My Scooby-do is a cairn mix from our local shelter. He is full of energy and loves to chase critters in the yard.
