Hello
We look forward to hearing about your sailors journey. How he/she likes being an MAA (MA) and which kind of job they are doing and how you are doing knowing what your sailor does for a living.
NOTE: Please help keep our sailors safe. Don't give out exact locations.Example: If he/she is in Iraq you can say Iraq but I would not say the name of the camp or a town near the camp. If they are on a ship don't give the last known location. Although some of that is public we don't in anyway want to jeopardize them.

Hi Doreen:

Just catching this...where is your son? and the bug problem?
Comment by ScorpioMom on March 24, 2010 at 3:18am
Doreen, I just talked to my daughter in law, has your son gone to building 1070? they handle barracks issues. And having aerosol bug spray is a bad idea but maybe try traps??

Monica: My hubby talked to James & Brian a few days ago & it seems like they got seperated :( But I'm glad they are doing well! Matt isn't liking it here so far but like I told him it's only for 2 years and we will do whatever it takes to get through this together! Keep us in your prayers, please! Thanks everyone =)

Well put Deborah, you have a gift with prose. I agree prayers are awesome, we don't always get the answer we want but just the act of prayer is comforting.

Stephen was homesick when he first arrived in CA, but has adjusted, I agree with Brenda Sue talk with the chaplain, pray and keep in touch with your son.
Stephen turned 19 in January, our boys are men but still sometimes kids.

Hey ladies! We are finally getting settled in our new house! We love it here so far! Matt started his next training courses today and says it's a lil rough but it could always be worse =)

I wouldn't suggest him doing so - they might label him as a "whiney baby". As far as the roaches (I dispise them also). I suggest him getting some spray himself. This may or may not be "legal". In our school, we are not allowed to spray because some kid may be allergic to the spray - so he needs to check into it first.

I suggest him talking maybe with the chaplain. I bet he would be the most "sensitive" person there. I seriously doubt that anything could be done to change his situation. My Sailor has had to live with roommates that absolutely STANK!!

Hey, I do believe that prayer changes things!! I'll help you pray!!
This has worked MANY times for me also. My son goes from "you bother me more than anyone" to "where is my mom been" - in a matter of days - when I really spend some time praying for him!
