Hello
We look forward to hearing about your sailors journey. How he/she likes being an MAA (MA) and which kind of job they are doing and how you are doing knowing what your sailor does for a living.
NOTE: Please help keep our sailors safe. Don't give out exact locations.Example: If he/she is in Iraq you can say Iraq but I would not say the name of the camp or a town near the camp. If they are on a ship don't give the last known location. Although some of that is public we don't in anyway want to jeopardize them.

Julie, sorry you got lost :( I dont know much about "A" school grad since we live so for away and couldnt attend. But my son said that most of the parents that did attend were closer or at least driving distance away. Now I dont know if he just told me that to make me feel better since I wanted to attend soooooo bad and couldnt or if its true.

Hi everyone! My daughter Heatheris a MAA. She loves it.She is stationed in Guam. She has enjoyed everystep of the way.BC-ASchool in Tx.She came home for 2 weeks after ASchool. She is in Guam for 18 months. We have always taught our kids-the effort you put into something is what you will get out of it. Heather is like a sponge- she is soaking up all the info she can and using it to make a great experience. The important thing is that you encourage these kids. Show your support. I know as amom it can be tough. This week I just watch another kid I know leave for bc in the Nukes program.I have known him all his life.it was like watching mine leave again.I'm very proud of these kids and pray for them.Good Luck moms. and lets keep in touch.

From what I understand a sailor can be sent off any base for an IA tour.(Individual Augmentee) This means Sailors may detach from their current command and be assigned to the Expeditionary Combat Readiness Center or they may remain a part of their current command and return to it when they complete their IA tour.
