Hello
We look forward to hearing about your sailors journey. How he/she likes being an MAA (MA) and which kind of job they are doing and how you are doing knowing what your sailor does for a living.
NOTE: Please help keep our sailors safe. Don't give out exact locations.Example: If he/she is in Iraq you can say Iraq but I would not say the name of the camp or a town near the camp. If they are on a ship don't give the last known location. Although some of that is public we don't in anyway want to jeopardize them.

Personnel Reliability Program
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) is a United States Department of Defense psychological evaluation program, designed to permit only the most trustworthy individuals to have access to nuclear weapons.

The program was first instituted during the Cold War. Among its goals are, (Quoting from DOD Directive 5210.42)

“ 1. The Department of Defense shall support the national security of the United States by maintaining an effective nuclear deterrent while protecting the public health, safety, and environment. For that reason, nuclear-weapons require special consideration because of their policy implications and military importance, their destructive power, and the political consequences of an accident or an unauthorized act. The safety, security, control, and effectiveness of nuclear weapons are of paramount importance to the security of the United States.

2. Nuclear weapons shall not be subject to loss, theft, sabotage, unauthorized use, unauthorized destruction, unauthorized disablement, jettison, or accidental damage.

3. Only those personnel who have demonstrated the highest degree of individual reliability for allegiance, trustworthiness, conduct, behavior, and responsibility shall be allowed to perform duties associated with nuclear weapons, and they shall be continuously evaluated for adherence to PRP standards.

The PRP program evaluates many aspects of the individual's work life and home life. Any disruption of these, or severe deviation from an established norm would be cause to deny access. The denial might be temporary or permanent. However, the policy does explicitly state,

Joyce yes I have flags, banners, and clings on my home and car.
and I would not take a care package to PIR because there are many things they cant have on the GL base. save it and give it to them when they come home after "A" school or even ship it to them at their first duty station.

Sheila about the story.... only that 2 days after the fight James was in the lab his commander walked in yell his name (James told me he thought he was in trouble) and all he said was I just saw the tape of the other night... Way to jump in and get the job done!... I wouldnt say he's ever been "adventuresome" but he does what needs to be done and what it take to do it.
Have you heard anything about Jared? Where he's going or what MA job he will be doing? When James leaves Bahrain he's going to Sigonella, Sicily for 2 years.

All I know about K9 is after "A" school you go for more training with the dogs. As for getting to choose to be part of a K9 unit I'm not sure. I remember James saying while in "A" school that if he got that it wouldnt be bad... And for ops James didnt get that till he got to Bahrain and was choosen but not sure if it was his expert marksman , his running talents , test scores or because he's not afraid to jump into the middle of a knife fight and take down the largest guy first ( they have that on a security camera tape. Wish I could see it) :) See he dont hesitate to get a situation under controll they found that out while he was on duty in Lackland...
