For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

HeatherT, no, there is nothing ahead of time. He will have to meet you at the gate. Have him meet you at the gate the night before to get the paperwork you need to be on base to make things faster the next day. There is a discussion within San Antonio MA's.
kadie1, since the fall of 2008, the only "A" School for MA is at Lackland AFB near San Antonio. Here is the Rating Information Card for MA: https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/ma.pdf. "A" School is 7 weeks, but some are in Holding a week or 2, so the card indicates 9 weeks.
