Hello
We look forward to hearing about your sailors journey. How he/she likes being an MAA (MA) and which kind of job they are doing and how you are doing knowing what your sailor does for a living.
NOTE: Please help keep our sailors safe. Don't give out exact locations.Example: If he/she is in Iraq you can say Iraq but I would not say the name of the camp or a town near the camp. If they are on a ship don't give the last known location. Although some of that is public we don't in anyway want to jeopardize them.

My son finally got his orders...he's headed for Souda Bay, Greece.  The funny thing is, his recruiter is changing jobs and will also be stationed there.  Any info about Souda Bay would be greatly appreciated.  Overseas is a whole new experience, got a lot to learn.

My son is home on leave before heading to his first duty station....Bahrain.  I'm having a hard time getting him to go through his belongings and deciding on what to bring because he has no idea how much he can bring, how to get his stuff there after he arrives, etc.  Does the Navy move any of their belongings there or is it up to the sailor to mail whatever they can't carry with them?  Also, does anyone know if an AT&T iphone can have the sim card switched to work with Bahrain cell phone service?

Yeah!! My son passed his test to become an MA3!  Still no news on overseas orders though.  Playing the waiting game and trusting in the Lord.

To SierrasMom my son has been at Lakeland since 10-15. To MountainMamam yes this is his first order. To HeatherT I asked my son about K-9 and he said he was not going to look into that until he was ready to get out cause there is not much room for advancment in the ranks. (Just an FYI)
