Hello
We look forward to hearing about your sailors journey. How he/she likes being an MAA (MA) and which kind of job they are doing and how you are doing knowing what your sailor does for a living.
NOTE: Please help keep our sailors safe. Don't give out exact locations.Example: If he/she is in Iraq you can say Iraq but I would not say the name of the camp or a town near the camp. If they are on a ship don't give the last known location. Although some of that is public we don't in anyway want to jeopardize them.

Congrats Rebecca! :-)

Guess what, ladies? My son got K9 MAA! This brings him up to an E3, which is great, and he'll be able to travel the world now! We are all thrilled for him. This also means he'll be able to come home for Christmas for a week, then he'll have almost 3 weeks leave accrued by the time he finishes C-School! (that's where they go to train the dogs)
He's doing so well, I'm so very proud of him!
I just wanted to share, thanks for "listening"

Burning my blue candle,
Suzanne

sherrys, use Expedia, Travelocity.....(There are lots of those kinds of sites and you can check for the best prices before booking.)   My son was able to book his airline tickets that way much cheaper than what MWR suggested.  We've booked hotel rooms a time or two as well.  Another advantage of the internet is that you can check the reviews of the hotel before booking.

Wondering what is the best way to visit our son. Have used the Moral, Welfare and Recreation to book last trip. Not sure it was the best way to schedule hotel, etc. The place we stayed was pricey and not the best. (Dead rat in parking lot and located beside a bus stop.) Little afraid to leave the car parked in the parking lot. ---- Is there a better way to book trip. We want to visit our son in Hawaii and know this can be very expensive. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

We gave MA3 Chris his electronics at PIR. Made the airport wait to SA much better. Make sure you soon to be SA's make use of the USO rooms at the airports. They are so wonderful to the kids!
