Hello
We look forward to hearing about your sailors journey. How he/she likes being an MAA (MA) and which kind of job they are doing and how you are doing knowing what your sailor does for a living.
NOTE: Please help keep our sailors safe. Don't give out exact locations.Example: If he/she is in Iraq you can say Iraq but I would not say the name of the camp or a town near the camp. If they are on a ship don't give the last known location. Although some of that is public we don't in anyway want to jeopardize them.

Leave almost over for or son. He then heads to Diego Garcia. Are there any Groups there at all? We know very little. We have had a wonderful visit. Even a 5 day get away to Palm Springs with all of the adult children- minus one! Precious, precious moments. Please send any info about Diego!

I have looked all over the internet trying to find out graduation dates for MA's at Lackland AFB. Does anyone have a link or specific website that has this information? Thanks.

Hi Everyone, I know it must be tough to have your child in Bahrain.  Say, when you join and they say it is four years, does that mean four years from boot camp or four years from when you get your post?

My son just finished his 2 year tour in Bahrain. He will be deploying to Diego Garcia- in March. Navymomsue---- He really liked his tour there. The Sailors were all very nice. There is a lot to do. I haven't heard of anyone that really didn't like it. My son went to Bahrain in January 2 years ago. He was able to adjust to the hot weather as the temperatures rose. He will miss his friends there. Now, we wonder how he will be on Diego Garcia? He is here on leave for 18 days or so. My son had no problems with communication. FB messenger and Skype and he had a very inexpensive international plan.

Hi all MABahrainMoms, My son will be deployed to Bahrain this week.  Little nervous.  I hear things are a little tense.  Hard to see him go.  My question for any one who can help.  He has a cell phone and tablet.  What is the most economical way for us to communicate? Can we Skype?  It looks like I may not be able to talk to him that much anyway.   Please let me know.  Thanks again.

JENJEN, I'm wondering if none of those going to Bahrain will go to ECS since Bahrain will not be on the list for IDP beginning 1 June since they wouldn't need that training if it is not a danger zone. See http://www.military.com/daily-news/2014/01/03/pentagon-cuts-down-on....
