Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

My son has already graduated but wanted to suggest you join group called PIR Reference Information. Was HUGE help as we planned our trip to graduation. Take the time to read the Discussion Forum discussions. I had a notebook full of info! Also, join the group for your son's PIR date once you know exact date. You will "hear" so much going on that even the sailor won't know or be able to tell you! The sudden void of communication with our son was tough.

Hi Syndi, My son is stationed on the Boxer in San Diego. He has only been in San Diego since July but he is really enjoying his time there!

Just made it through Thanksgiving and now I can concentrate on packing for PIR next weekend! Ruth and Donna, you are right; these last weeks have flown by and I can't believe the end of BC is near. Our SR stays in GL for A school. The forecast says a Nor'Easter is headed up the coast this week so I am praying our flights are not affected!

Thought I might join this group..I haven't seen a lot of from Maine ...then I found this group! My daughter left for boot camp 11/14/12 her PIR is 1/11/13. She is suppose to be going to "A" school in Monterey for the CTI program. she is ship 12 Div 053.

Hi RuthY. My son is in an 800 Div as well. PIR 11/30. Just learning my way around. You must have just returned from your son's PIR? Would love to hear how it was. We could message each other? Doesn't look like many other members on here recently....Getting good info on 2 other groups.
