Hi Moms...I have joined your group in search of a place for my sailor can go for Thanksgiving. He is a corpsman and stationed in Bethesda. He doesn't know I am asking. He is quiete and shy may not want to go in the end but would love to have a back up plan for him if he should decide to. If any one is close and would possibly want an extra person at your table I would greatly appreciate it. It would be a blessing to me and him. Thanks!! =]

Denise, that is beautiful. I hope you don't mind, but I borrowed the link and put it on our PIR group page too.

Joanne, I carry my phone everywhere with me. I even put it on the outside ledge of my tub, when I'm in the shower. (Thank goodness, we do have a separate
shower, lol) I'm not going to miss his call, for any reason. :)

Cindy- that was very smart of that mom. And it must have been hard to have heard that about her son. I'm sure there have been suicides that we knew nothing about before our kids went in but it certainly makes it more real when we hear about them now.

Pam, would you share your recipe? I know that I can't send anything to my son in BC, but I would love to have that recipe for future holidays when he is not home.

When the sailors all marched in, I couldn't find my son in his division. I had my binoculars out and was searching...searching. They all looked the same. Shaved heads....white sailor hats....dress blues. Started thinking to myself - what if I don't recognize my own son! lol
Finally gave the binoculars to my husband and told him to find him since he was 6 inches taller than I am. Our son was all the way in the back. After that I was able to focus on the actual ceremony. Thank heavens our son ordered the DVD so I can watch the entire thing without any distractions later. lol
