FYI:  The October adoption has been announced.  We will be shipping to 300 sailors on the USS Shoup - the crew of the mighty USS Shoup.  Check out the discussion above for additional information.

The more the merrier!  And we are going to be needing all the help we can get!

I'm so glad you will be coming Chelita!!  300 pies in a jar!!!  My goodness, you are going to be very, very busy my friend.

Will you be putting them in boxes to ship to bring them to the packing party?  Just wondering because if not, we all need to start ordering boxes now!  :)

I'm in for the packing party Donna!

And... I've decided I am making "pie in a jar", in fact I have already recruited 4 super friends and we are committed to making one "pie in a jar" for every sailor on board, yes, 300!!

We are going to make 100 pumpkin, 100 apple and 100 pecan.

SO excited about this!!!!

Just FYI & for the new Moms.  I changed my profile picture to my Dad.  He died 3 years ago today from pancreatic cancer.

In 5 weeks you will see a picture of my Mom.  She died 5 weeks after Daddy of undiagnosed heart disease.

Just a couple of FYIs:  Hallmark is having a buy 1, get 1 free Stock-up Event, October 14-21.  This applies to holiday cards, boxed cards, stationery and gift wrap.  A perfect time to pick up some cards, if you need to, for our packing party.

Also, Five Below has some nice soft footballs in great colors for between $3-$5.

More info is in the discussion.
