Also, I was thinking that perhaps the Moms would like to get together and get to know each other. If you are interested in meeting others, hosting the gathering or maybe co-hostesses (?) ~~ let's get a discussion going in this group.

Thoughts???

Hi to all the MA Mommas! I do have to apologize for being absent from this page for so long. Seems like my life has been a long series of starts and stops. There have been sooo many adjustments to make to becoming a widow.

I've been following one of the Groups (Molly's Adopt a Sailor -- aka MAS) on FB. But haven't been on N4M in such a long time.

This has been such a difficult month for our Sailors. First the young man missing off the NC coast and, of course, just recently the USS Fitzgerald. All of our very worst nightmares unfolding before our eyes.

Today, MAS posted that the sailors on the Fitzgerald are in need of some items as they have lost everything. They are asking for:

Personal hygiene items; clothing; uniforms.

If you are interested in filling a package to a sailor on board this ship please send me a private message and I can give you the details.

Hi Deanna. I am sorry for the delay!!! That is a long time but like you said one day at a time. Mine can't skype so I guess I have to wait. I have learned the art of patience, which has never been my strong point. I agree on safe returns for all.

Welcome JMH. It is certainly good to connect with others who understand what you go through!!!

After contacting everyone I could think of, we are going to have to postpone our planned packing party.

There just wasn't enough lead time for the majority, so we will just have our holidays and then work at something for the winter.  BRRRR.  Hate to even use that word!
