Tomorrow we drive to Portland, Me to drop off my son at MEPS and he leaves on Tuesday for BC. As most of you have already gone through this, you know first hand how I feel.
Hello All!
We are presently on vacation and then it looks like our sailor will be coming home on leave the 17th-27th :) I'm doing the Navy Mom HAPPY DANCE!!!!
And then I get to meet many of you!
What a month!!
Really looking forward to this get together and cementing some friendships.
Enjoy the weather!!!
Hey Everybody!! I was scrolling down through some of the posts trying to get a count for the 31st. Some names may be duplicates (ie your screen name / real name). Let us know if you aren't on the list, don't want to miss anyone!!
Maybe's: Heather 7274; Angela (navymassmomship 13 div 313)
Yes's: Chelita; Tammy, Helen (Joniana), Navymomx2-Ship 02 Division 934; Nauset Mom; Kathy (from the Cape); Ellen; Denise; Pat; Johanna and me.
Anyone missing???
Yes, I know - Sheryl is missing, but don't worry GF, we still love you even if you are in the sunny south. <3
Hi Angela! I'm really hoping you can make it on the 31st. We are going to have such a great time. I can't wait until the 31st. I hope that you aren't too far north in NH so that it will make the trip impossible for you. Here's to hoping to meet you IRL soon! Hugs.
Sooo excited! My sailor invited us to join him at Family Day on his base next Saturday. I can't wait to go. I don't know what it involves, but I'm looking forward to it regardless. In the meantime, I plan to go out and pick up a few things today. Taking advantage of tax-free week-end!! Not getting anything dramatically new and exciting, just looking for a lamp or 2 and maybe some pillows for the living room. Just something to shake things up. Seeing everything in place and the same as when Maurice was here is becoming overwhelming to me. I'm at the place of really & fully realizing he's not coming back - not ever! Still looking for a place to move to that I can easily afford on my own (the reason for not purchasing any large items since I don't know what will fit and what won't).
Have a good week-end everyone and see you in a few weeks!!
@ Sheryl: "my old MA moms"!!!! OLD?? Girl that word could get you in big, BIG trouble. Or as my brothers, turned southerners, would say "That could get you a whoopin'!" It is a good thing we love you so much! :) Very glad to hear you are feeling better. Hair cut tomorrow has to be changed to accommodate a test at the hospital. It will just be later this week. Just keep eating your protein, at least until you see the doctor. It takes a while for all those muscles that were cut to heal properly. "Nurse Donna" here! Will chat soon
I am just sooo looking forward to seeing everyone again! We are going to have an amazing time. Wish you could be with us Sheryl (IRL, not cardboard :)
And to Moms joining us for the first time, don't forget to bring along a picture of your sailor! Then we can see each other's children.
Johanna, I'll talk to you soon. Glad you are home - for a little while at least.
